 I rely strictly on moisturizers and lifestyle to keep me looking and feeling youthful. I believe that as long as I know my skin looks healthy and makes me look radiant, I’m okay about fine lines because I feel I’ve earned them!

INGREDIENTS WE AVOID
Simplicité plant extract skin care products are formulated with 25 years of clinical experience in Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine. We make our plant extracts freshly from organically grown or medicinal quality herbs. Beware… when you hear the word “natural” many companies call mineral oil, lanolin, and other animal products ‘natural’ being ‘naturally’ sourced but certainly not from plants!
Simplicité products are carefully formulate to give a healthier looking skin, naturally. Our products are made with the health of the consumer and the health of the environment in mind.
Our ONLY preservatives:
We preserve the products with natural vitamin E.
Some of the aromatherapy extracts also act as preservatives.
About 1/10 of the usual level of a ‘synthetic’ preservative DMDM Hydantoin for the safety of our customers.
NO: Dairy, Gluten, Wheat, Soy, Nuts
WE WON’T USE: any other so called ‘naturally derived’ preservatives as we believe that the levels required to be effective are irritating to the skin and possibly increase the rate of aging!! They also have been tested on animals within the last 5-10 years.
WE DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS, OR USE ANY PRODUCTS THAT ARE TESTED ON ANIMALS!
WE WONT USE: mineral oil and lanolin as these may leach nutrients from the skin. We won’t use sorbitol, castor oil, or any animal products.
WE WON’T USE: lesser quality aromatherapy extracts as these contain unacceptably high levels of impurities.
WE WON’T USE: Alcohol as it dries and hardens the upper layer of the skin. This reduces the absorption of the nutrients and also reduces the rate of elimination of the skin’s own metabolic wastes.
WE WON’T USE: Hydrogenated oils, especially peanut oil and hydrogenated hazelnut oil. These increase the rate of ageing of the skin.
WE WON’T USE:- Propylene glycol- drying to the skin and causes flaking
- Dimethicone/Simethicone/PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane)
- Silicone compounds used in furniture and floor polish and to give shine to care dash-boards (‘Amoural’)
- PABA- a very ‘unfriendly’ sunscreening agents thought to be damaging to skin
- Carbomer 940/ Carbopol a synthetic gelling or thickening agent used to make Eye Gels and Face Crèmes.
- Triethanolamine (TEA) – a pH adjuster used with synthetic gelling agents found in Aloe ‘gels,’ Eye gels, Hair gels, Toning Lotions. TEA is also found in Face Creams.
